TiC Based Cermet Rolls are a kind of alloyed material based upon the hard phase of TiC, with similar properties as that of cemented carbides but also uncomparable performance to that of cemented carbides. TiC based cermets are widely used in the fields of large and special shaped products, wear-resistant structure materials and military. |
Application
As the main consumable part on the rod or wire rolling machine in the steel industry, guide rolls are used to match the cemented carbide rolls to ensure the hot steel to enter into the rolling groove against the winding of the steel. Under the speed of 100~150m/s of the high-speed wire, the guide roll rotating speed reaches up to30000 rpm and the roll surface temperature reaches up to 800-1000¡æ. Being subject to certain physical impact and stress, the roll is required to have good acceleration property. Metal impurities is easily formed on the roll surface. |
